Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, affirmed that the Egyptian state has not and will not fail to pay any international obligations, commenting: “These are constants in Egyptian politics and the state’s belief, and under directives from the political leadership, Egypt fully respects its obligations.”
And the Prime Minister added in a press conference on the sidelines of his inspection of a number of factories in the new city of Obour: “Until this moment, we have not been late in paying any obligation we have…we counted 22, and he said that Egypt is obligated and will not be able to pay, but Egypt is able to pay all its obligations, and this is a message of reassurance for the situation.” .. It is not just talk and daily coordination with the Central Bank, and we work every day with each other.. The governor sits with me more than once a week.. If the view is that the Prime Minister is sitting with the governor, he will be removed, but this will be a flotation and a change in the currency rate. Talk has controls, and why is it politics? And the state puts it down and works on it, and accordingly there is a full commitment to pay our obligations..reports speak that the Egyptian state is unable to commit..but we are putting in place a clear plan and providing its resources.”
