Belgium will support the resolution that makes it possible to recognize Palestine as a full member of the United Nations. Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib (MR) said this during a meeting with Riyad al-Maliki, the special envoy of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
“The vote will take place this week, on May 10. It is important that the European Union does not miss this historic moment. Belgium wants to co-sponsor and support this resolution,” says Lahbib. “We will not miss our appointment with history.”
