Prime Minister Announces Removal of 7 Judicial Officials in Thailand – January 2024

8 Jan. 2024 – Royal Gazette website Publish the announcement from the Office of the Prime Minister on The judicial officials shall be removed from their positions.

The Office of the Judiciary has issued an order allowing 7 judicial officials to resign from government service as follows:

1. Mr. Sot Sutanan, position: Chief Judge of the Civil Court. Resigned from government service on 1 April 2023.

2. Mrs. Paweenana Sriwong, position: Senior Judge in the Court of Appeal. Resigned from government service on 1 April 2023.

3. Mr. Weera Sakul, position: Chief Judge of the Civil Court. Resigned from government service on July 3, 2023.

4. Mr. Amornphan Nititheeranon, position: Judge of the Loei Provincial Court. Resigned from government service on 16 August 2023.

5. Mr. Wattanasak Wongwattanapong, position of Senior Judge of the Office of the Chief Justice, Region 2, resigned from government service. From September 30, 2023

6. Mr. Somkiat Teekhautmakorn, position: Assistant Justice of the Supreme Court Resigned from government service on September 30, 2023.

7. Miss Arunrat Panditsaphak, senior judge position, Nonthaburi Provincial Court, resigned from government service. From 1 November 2023

and the Cabinet Secretariat has conveyed the matter to His Majesty the King and has graciously removed him from his position.

Nowadays, a royal command has been issued to remove all 7 judicial officials from their positions.
