Two students from a primary school in Suriname got into a fight in class on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. At one point, an 11-year-old student stabbed his 9-year-old classmate in the back at the level of his buttocks with a sharp object.
After the act, the suspect ran home, but was taken back to school by his parents. The injured student was taken by ambulance to the emergency department of the Paramaribo Academic Hospital.
After the report of a stabbing, the police of the Flora bureau sent the relevant school to the Flora resort for an investigation. The 11-year-old student was transferred to the police station together with his parents, the Surinamese police reported.
