La Primafresca, the famous feria on rue Fresque, is back from Friday April 5 to Sunday April 7 with a new format. Indeed, even if this was unofficially already the case, the Primafresca system is officially extended to rue de l’Étoile, Maubet and Thoumayne, making a total of 16 partner establishments of the event.
Obviously, with the news of the Paris Olympic Games, which will take place from July 26 to August 11, traders wanted to create a theme around the Olympics. Thus, the “Rue de la Soif Nîmes” organizes its own Games, the “JO Fresca”, necessarily with revisited and more local events. The official poster will be created by Nîmes artist Melvyn Barros and will be revealed at the end of February.

Friday April 5:
6:30 p.m. Opening ceremony of the Fresca Olympics with professional athletes from Nîmes on the balcony above the Levrette Café. Lighting of the Olympic “torch” and torchlight descent with fanfare! Festive opening evening.
Saturday April 6:
12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Olympic events throughout the street Fresco with fanfare in entertainment all day long: pétanques, beer pong, café pony races, darts and sumo fights.
Saturday April 6 evening:
Olympics evening, recommended sports outfits
Sunday April 7 noon:
Festive Primafresca lunch with fanfare! (Tables and benches installed in rue Fresque, Impasse Fresque and rue de Bernis).
Afternoon :
Grand finale of the Rue Fresque Olympic Games: espadrilles throwing event. 7 p.m.: presentation of Olympic medals. Closing at 9 p.m. of the Primafresca.
