Prilly Latuconsina is now an Ambassador for Preventing Cervical Cancer.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Actress Prilly Latuconsina invites Indonesian women to protect themselves from cervical cancer or cervical cancer. One way is to get vaccinated human papillomavirus (HPV).
Prilly admitted that she had received the HPV vaccine for a long time, even before being named an Ambassador for Preventing Cervical Cancer. He already knew how important it was to vaccinate his aunt and the late Julia Perez.
When her aunt was diagnosed with cervical cancer, Prilly was still young and admitted that she did not understand cervical cancer. He also did not know the benefits of the vaccination.
“Back then, I still wasn’t so aware with cervical cancer. I thought that cancer was hereditary or gene, but in my family only my aunt suffers from the disease,” he said in the 2022 World Cancer Day webinar “Let’s Prevent Cervical Cancer with HPV Vaccination and Early Detection Right Now”, listened to in Jakarta, Friday (4/4) 2/2022).
Prilly lost her aunt to cervical cancer. Then, as an adult, Prilly met the late Julia Perez. When she was sick, Julia often shared stories with Prilly. In fact, Prilly often visited Julia after she had undergone chemotherapy. Julia also introduced Prilly about the HPV vaccination.
“I didn’t know at that time that there was a vaccine for cervical cancer, so I finally found out myself, and it turns out that there are many very at that time information hoaks about vaccines,” he said.
