Prigozhin planned to undertake projects for the construction of a production district in the area of u200bu200bthe abandoned industrial zone “Gorskaya” and 61 transport hubs (TPU). The cost of the second project is 186 billion rubles. He gathered a team of specialists and presented it at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in June 2021. After that, Beglov, who saw the presentation, suggested Prigozhin sign the project “in a different form” or not to influence the whole TPUs.
“I could not understand what had happened. Later, I learned that these transport hubs were distributed among Beglov’s relatives and friends on the same day, ”Prigozhin told Nevskiye Novosti. He stated that he had not seen Beglov after this meeting. Now, according to Prigozhin, the TPUs they are sold “mostly for cash, by various obscure people, with obscure schemes”.
Interestingly, the Nevskiye Novosti publication is part of the Patriot group, the board of directors of which is headed by Prigozhin himself.
