“Because the 2003 (emissions) standard is for example a motorcycle, the minimum fuel is 91, maybe the APM is given an allowance, it can go from 90 to 92,” he said.
Then what about the old technology motors that use low compression?

Pertamax price need to be recalculated?
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has estimated the economic price of RON 92 fuel or the equivalent of Pertamax could rise to Rp 16,000 per liter starting April 2022. This estimate is higher than this month’s economic price which was set at Rp 14,526 per liter.
The Head of the Communication, Public Information Services and Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Agung Pribadi said the potential increase in the economic price of RON 92 fuel to Rp 16,000 per liter was due to the still heating up crude oil price condition, along with the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
“Taking into account the oil price in March which was much higher than February, the economic price or the upper limit for general fuel RON 92 in April 2022 will be even higher than Rp. 14,526 per liter, it could be around Rp. 16,000 per liter,” Agung said in a statement. written last Friday (25/3).
Meanwhile, the Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga, also mentioned that luxury cars receive subsidies from Pertamina. Therefore, he said, the price of Pertamax needs to be recalculated.
“As informed by the world fuel price increase and as calculated by friends from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, RON 92 or Pertamax, the economic price is Rp. 14,500. And we know that Pertamax accounts for 13% of fuel consumption in Indonesia and in general luxury cars,” he said, Tuesday (22/3/2022).
“With the Pertamax fuel price of Rp. 9,500, it can be said that Pertamina is subsidizing Pertamax. And this clearly means, Pertamina is subsidizing luxury cars that use Pertamax. This needs to be recalculated so that there is justice, so that Pertamina does not give large subsidies to luxury cars that use Pertamax,” he continued. .
