Prices for many goods and services may rise further in the near future, including at construction companies. This is evident from figures released by CBS on Tuesday.
The statistical office bases its findings on information from various trade associations. They see that there are many more entrepreneurs who expect to increase their prices than there are entrepreneurs who implement reductions.
We will mainly see the higher prices in construction and business services. This includes, for example, consultants, architects, marketers and employment agencies.
Although some of these companies do not provide services to households, the higher prices can still end up on the consumer’s plate in a roundabout way. This can be done, for example, by a supermarket hiring temporary workers and incorporating the costs into the grocery prices.
Many companies say that they are raising their prices because they are also faced with higher costs. Then you can think of more expensive raw materials or higher wages.
Not all entrepreneurs expect to be able to incorporate these increased costs into their sales prices. Retailers, farms, fisheries and the catering industry, among others, fear that they will only be able to partially or even not be able to pass on the higher costs to their customers.
