The product for an indefinite period Standard will offer gas for 2.904 CZK per kWh. With a fixed tariff, the price per kWh of gas will be CZK 2.75 and for electricity CZK 5.78. To this, however, it is necessary to add the regulated part of the price and the regular monthly payment.

Miroslav Vránek, spokesperson

“Compared to the price ceiling set by the government, the average household using natural gas in an apartment for cooking, water heating and heating with an annual consumption of 11 MWh will save about 3,000 CZK per year,” company spokesperson Miroslav Vránek told Práv.

According to him, at the fixed price of electricity from May, compared to the ceiling, which is 6 CZK per kWh including VAT, a household in an apartment with a distribution rate D02 and an annual consumption of 2.8 MWh will save approximately 760 CZK. The company will publish new price lists at www.ppas.cz.

Others have already reduced the price

Discounts, which will mean savings against the ceiling in the order of thousands of crowns per year for higher consumption, have been announced by most large suppliers in recent weeks. E.ON and innogy offer lower prices for fixed and indefinite contracts. At E.ON, lower energy prices apply from February 15, and from March 1, prices will also drop for those with annual fixation. At innoga, new natural gas prices apply from the beginning of February.

ČEZ introduced fixed products for electricity and gas for two or three years, within which the price remains at the ceiling this year and decreases in the following years. According to the company, households that heat with gas will save 40 percent on the price of gas in the third year of fixation against the ceiling.

EU countries have reduced gas consumption by 19.3 percent since August
