Step up price competition around Christmas

Traditionally, price competition between Kiwi, Rema 1000 and Extra intensifies around Christmas Eve. This means that the price of goods will fall even more than at present.

Chain director Daniel Kyrre Pedersen in Extra recently said that competition is tough for holiday shopping.

– We keep an eye on our closest competitors to ensure that holiday shopping is the cheapest with us, she said. Similar statements can also be found on Rema 1000.

When it comes to supermarkets the differences are much greater, and here it is important to keep an eye on them the newspaper offer both at Menu, Spar og Obs and Coop Mega.
