The Tesla car company is again discounting prices in the Czech Republic. This time it is for the Model 3, but the price of the cheapest variant fell below one million crowns for the first time. At the same time, the expected variant with an extended range got its price tag.
It came out on live.cz.
The cheapest Model 3 was reduced by 62 thousand crowns and its price is 979,990 crowns.
The second novelty is the addition of a fourth variant of the Model 3 – Long Range with all-wheel drive. In the current offer, it is the Tesla with the longest range ever, it can travel 702 km on one charge (according to the WLTP methodology). Curiously, it is the third cheapest Tesla – only the sub-million base mentioned above and the basic variant of the Model Y are cheaper.
Tesla’s price list in the Czech Republic has recently been moving in the opposite direction. In July, the Model 3 increased in price by approximately three to four percent depending on the variant, likely due to the expected introduction of European prices for electric car imports from China. The Model 3 is produced in Shanghai. Now, on the other hand, Tesla is making it cheaper, paradoxically at the very moment when the aforementioned tariffs were finally approved.
Other domestic sellers of electric cars often react to changes in Tesla’s price list. While in the past, for example, the Model Y sometimes reached the level of the competing Škoda Enyaq, this is no longer the case. The domestic automaker recently reduced the basic price tag of its flagship electric car below 900,000 crowns.
