Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia The Oppo Reno 8T 4G model has just been inaugurated for the Indonesian market. This middle-class cellphone relies on a design aspect that looks ‘fresh’ with a leather-textured orange back or what is called ‘fiberglass-leather’.

In addition, the Oppo Reno 8T also promotes the quality of the main camera which has a 100MP quality sensor which is claimed to be able to capture detailed images even after beingcrop.

Meanwhile, in October 2022, Infinix Zero 20 was also present as a device in the same class. So, between these two cellphones, which one is better in terms of specifications and price? Check the complete comparison.


Oppo Reno 8T vs Infinix Zero 20 design and screen

The Oppo Reno 8T has a screen that is quite unique, especially for the orange variant with a skin texture. On the back is a ‘glaring’ camera which immediately attracts attention because of its jumbo size.

The camera is arranged vertically, where the top is the main camera, while the bottom is placed two secondary cameras and flash. There is also an appendage that says ‘AI Portrait Camera Ultra Clear Lens’ on the camera module as a promotional tagline.

On the front, the Oppo Reno 8T has a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with FHD + resolution. The refresh rate is stuck at 90Hz, but can also be set to 60Hz as needed.

The peak brightness level reaches 800nits and is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The screen seems to carry a flat design (flat display) with a punch hole container on the left side to house the front camera.

Meanwhile, Infinix Zero 20 comes with a simpler design without special textures. One of the models, the Glitter Gold, looks similar to Oppo’s ‘fiberglass-leather’ variant, only without the leather texture.

The two cameras on the back are also arranged vertically, accompanied by a small camera and flash which are also arranged vertically. The camera module is placed in one box.

On the front, the screen measures 6.7 inches with AMOLED type with FHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Unfortunately, the front camera seems to still use a waterdrop design rather than a ‘cleaner’ notch.

In terms of photography, the Oppo Reno 8T relies on a 100MP (f/1.7) main camera, accompanied by a 2MP (micro, f/3.3) and 2MP (depth, f/2.4) camera. While the selfie camera relies on a resolution of 32MP (f/2.4)

Several shooting modes for the rear camera are Expert, Night Mode, Panorama, Microlens, Time Lapse and Slow-mo. Unfortunately, there is no wide mode which is actually quite crucial.

On the other hand, Infinix relies on a main camera with a larger resolution of 108MP which has been affixed with PDAF autofocus. The camera is accompanied by two other cameras, namely 13MP (ultrawide) and 2MP.

For the front camera, the quality is far superior with a sensor with a resolution of 60MP and an image stabilization feature (OIS).

Battery

The capacity of the Oppo Reno 8T battery is slightly larger, namely 5,000 mAh, compared to the 4,500 battery on the Infinix Zero 20. The Oppo Reno 8T battery also features a 33w SuperVOOC fast charging feature.

Chipset

Regarding the kitchen runway, these two devices rely on the Helio G99 from MediaTek with a 6nm fabrication process. This processor consists of 2x ARM Cortex-A76 with a speed of 2.2GHz and 6x ARM Cortex-A55 up to 2.0GHz.

For performance features, the Oppo Reno 8T label has a ‘Dynamic Computing Engine’ to accommodate a smoother operating system. Meanwhile, Infinix Zero 20 named its performance feature as the ‘Performance Monter Engine’ which is claimed to provide fast performance with optimal thermal efficiency.

Price for Oppo Reno 8T vs Infinix Zero 20

The Oppo Reno 8T comes with a RAM/ROM configuration of 8GB/256GB and is set at IDR 4.9 million. Meanwhile, the Infinix Zero 20 is priced much cheaper, namely IDR 3.5 million.
