Price Leaks and Specifications of Samsung Galaxy S23 FE: What to Expect in October 2023

KOMPAS.com – Rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE smartphone are increasing. Most recently, leaks of the price of the cheap version of the Galaxy S23 smartphone have emerged in cyberspace.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is said to be priced starting at 599 US dollars or around Rp. 9.2 million. This information was obtained by the media MySmartPrice from sources within the industry.

The price tag is 100 US dollars cheaper (around Rp. 1.5 million), compared to the price of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and S20 FE when they were first released. This means that the price of the Samsung S23 FE will likely be cheaper than its predecessor.

In Indonesia, the Samsung S21 FE was priced at IDR 9 million (8/128 GB variant) when it was first marketed in January 2022. So the price of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could be cheaper, in the range of IDR 7 million – IDR 8 million.

Even so, the price leaks above cannot yet be confirmed as true.

As compiled by KompasTekno from GSM Arena, Thursday (28/9/2023), the Galaxy S23 FE will launch in October 2023. The launch of the device will take place at the same time as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 Plus FE tablets.

Leaked specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE

That said, the Galaxy S23 FE has a 6.4 inch AMOLED panel. The screen offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz with a maximum brightness level of 1,450 nits.

The Galaxy S23 FE is said to rely on a chipset made by Samsung, the Exynos 2200. However, for the US and Canadian markets, the device will be powered by a chipset made by Qualcomm, namely Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

This chip will be combined with 8 GB of LPDDR5 type RAM and two storage space options of 128 GB and 256 GB. The battery is said to have a capacity of 4,500mAh and supports 25 watt fast charging.

The device will be equipped with three cameras positioned parallel. The camera configuration consists of a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide camera and an 8 MP telephoto camera equipped with 3x optical zoom.

The Galaxy S23 FE is said to have an IP58 certificate (water and dust resistance) and offers five color variants, namely Graphite, Mint, Purple, White, Indigo and Tangerine.

Samsung S23 FE is ready to enter Indonesia

The Galaxy S23 FE has also been registered on the Postel SDPPI Kominfo certification page (Post and Telecommunications from the Directorate General of Postal and Information Resources and Equipment, Ministry of Communication and Information).

According to KompasTekno monitoring, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is registered with certificate number 93449/SDPPI/2023. This certificate was submitted by PT Samsung Electronics Indonesia on September 11 2023.

In the certificate details, the device with the model number “SM-S711B” has the marketing name “Samsung S23 FE”.

The Directorate General of SDPPI Ministry of Communication and Information Postel Certificate is one of the requirements that vendors must fulfill before selling electronic devices in Indonesia.

In other words, you could say, the Samsung S23 FE is ready to enter and be sold in Indonesia. If accurate, the Galaxy S23 FE will be the successor to the Galaxy S21 FE which was marketed in Indonesia in 2022. Samsung itself did not have time to release the Fan Edition version of the Galaxy S22.
