to each his own. My S parents now have a fully equipped 6.1 Ocean and are happy about the electric roof, closing aids, assistance, etc. But woe betide if… the roof sinks, the roof doesn’t close, the door doesn’t close anymore… nothing can happen to us in the Coast .
The 6.1 car itself works just as well as a 6.0, engine wise impressive what has changed. High-tech at its finest. As long as it does But you touched everything, from the cupboard door to the interior light to the charging management, dashboard, software architecture, everything was redone.
As far as infotainment, assistance and other e-stuff are concerned: between 6.0 and 6.1 there are what feels like 10 years of evolution, Everything (!) Digitalwithout a control unit not even an interior light comes on.
6.1: The battery will be charged if the software allows it. After 1 year the trouble starts, D+ is no longer available for charging boosters, from the reduced interior concept in favor of space for the 2nd cat and heat insulation … I don’t see a single advantage. The car is “cerebral” on the software side and a friendly person is overwhelmed. So if I had the choice, I would take a 6.0. No door handles break there either, at most a louvred door breaks at the back, everything can be solved. We have completely abandoned the original idea of exchanging our 6.0 Coast for a new one after 2 years.
You probably know the article on the list of defects. I don’t find many things dramatic because I don’t have them, but if you expect everything to work and always work, I would recommend the 6.0 (actually T4 )
