Russian dealers have finally revealed the price of the Moskvich 6 liftback. Assembly of the third model of the revived Soviet brand began at the Moscow plant in early September, and the car should arrive in Russian showrooms by the end of October 2023. Prices have not been officially announced yet, but sellers already have information about them. As the Autonews portal found out, the new Moskvich will be more expensive than the crossover, despite predictions.
One of the dealers in the center of Moscow promised to start “live” sales of Moskvich 6 in mid-October. It was this dealer that also announced the highest price: 2.7 million rubles (26,000 euros) for the manual gearbox option and 3.1 million (30,000 euros) for the CVT version. Another dealer gave only an approximate price – from 2.4 to 2.6 million rubles (23,000 – 25,000 euros), which is also higher than the price of the Moskvich 3 crossover.
For comparison: the price of the gasoline crossover Moskvich with index 3 now starts from 2.2 million rubles (21,000 euros), and for the electric version 3e – from 3.95 million (38,000 euros). If the information from the first dealer is correct, Moskvich 6 will cost on par with the Chinese sedan Omoda S5, and in its GT version – Moskvich 6 is estimated at at least 2.8 million rubles (27,000 euros).
Moskvich 6, also known as a slightly redesigned JAC Sehol A5 Plus, is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a power of 136 horsepower and a CVT transmission, in its more expensive version – with a power of 174 horsepower and a robotic transmission.
It is curious that the Russian press service did not announce the version with a mechanical gearbox mentioned by one of the dealers. The Chinese A5 Plus only got a manual gearbox in June this year after undergoing a minor update.
