It was a stinging 1-0 loss during Tuesday night’s Game 3 in VIDA Arena. This despite the fact that Växjö won the shots by a whopping 27-15. It didn’t help matters when American star Ryan Lasch scored the game’s only goal early in the first period. After that, both Emil Larmi and Lars Johansson nailed the goal cage again.
Ahead of tonight’s Game 4 in Scandinavium, Frölunda has acquired a good starting position as they lead the match series with 2-1. The Gothenburg team has thus taken over the home field advantage and only needs two more victories to advance to the SC final. Växjö, in turn, needs to win tonight’s event to avoid ending up in a really difficult starting position before Game 5, which is played in VIDA Arena.
