After an inspection carried out by the Food Safety Coordination of the Valledupar Health Secretariat, five restaurants in the food court of the Guatapurí shopping center, in the north of this city, were closed preventively because the food did not count with the necessary safety.

It is worth noting that the “food safety” is the guarantee that they do not cause harm to the consumer when they are prepared and consumed according to the use for which they are intended.
According to the coordinator of the food dimension of the Municipal Health Secretariat, Jhon Peralta, the inspection operations at the restaurants were carried out with the main objective of verifying the optimum quality that the medicines must have and that there is a responsible handling on the part of of the people in charge.

The official stressed that this allows citizens to be protected and have good public health and explained that, once the impasse is overcome, they will be able to continue operating.
It was also known that the operations will be carried out in all shopping centers with food courts.
