The Court of Celorico da Beira decreed this Saturday the coercive measure of preventive detention for the 18-year-old, suspected of killing businessman José Ferreira in a bar in Vila Nova de Famalicão. The suspect surrendered to authorities this Friday.
José Ferreira, 32, was stabbed in the chest on February 12 after trying to break up a fight with a nightlife establishment. The victim was taken to the hospital, but eventually succumbed to his injuries. It should be remembered that contempt caused yet another injury.
The young man is the second suspect in the businessman’s death. He is the cousin of the first detainee, who is in custody at the Leiria prison. The cousins attacked two people, one died and the other was in serious condition.
Two crimes of attempted murder are charged against young people, who assumed the crime that killed José Ferreira, a 32-year-old businessman.
