Erna Mulati, Director of Nutrition & KIA at the Indonesian Ministry of Health, said that treating obesity in children can be done in several ways. “First, a comprehensive approach is needed that is supported by various parties in dealing with obesity in children,” said Erna Mulati.

Second, he continued, cooperation with schools is needed to provide healthy food in the school environment. In addition, it is important to provide literacy to parents regarding healthy food.

“It is also necessary to pay attention to the age of the child in dealing with this problem because it is still in its developmental period,” said Erna Mulati in a webinar held by FK UGM.
