TULUNGAGUNG, PETISI.CO – Anticipating the outbreak of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), the Class IIB Tulungagung Penitentiary, the regional office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, East Java, carried out fogging (spraying insecticides to kill mosquitoes).
Fogging activities carried out by the IIB Tulungagung Prison, which is currently inhabited by approximately 694 inmates, are targeted to include office space and residential blocks for the inmates.
“We did this in connection with the detection of one of the fostered residents in block B who was positive for dengue fever and was referred to Dr. Iskak Tulungagung Hospital,” explained the Head of Police through the Head of Guidance for Prisoners/Students (Binadik) and Prison Work Activities IIB Tulungagung, Imam Fahmi, Tuesday (15/02/2022).
Due to this incident, the IIB Tulungagung Prison is coordinating with the Tulungagung Health Office
“Alhamdulillah, the Tulungagung Health Office today sent its officers to do fogging in the prison environment. Hopefully, the fogging can eradicate mosquitoes to break the chain of dengue fever,” he hoped.
Furthermore, Fahmi also continues to appeal to all inmates to always maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding environment so that it does not become a mosquito nest, namely by carrying out the 3M movement, draining, closing and burying to suppress the outbreak of dengue fever in Tulungagung Prison.
“Before the rainy season arrives, we have actually anticipated, namely urging the inmates to carry out the 3M movement as an anticipatory measure,” concluded Fahmi. (through)
