ASKARA – Preventing Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) South Tangerang (Tangsel) City Health Service (Dinkes) encourages the public to adopt healthy and clean living behaviors (PHBS).
Head of Tangsel Health Office, Dr. Allin Hendalin Mahdaniar said, people must remember 3M Plus because it rains a lot in Tangsel City at present.
“We still need to be vigilant, especially as rainfall is high. Don’t let shelters become breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Remember 3M (drain, close, recycle, and avoid mosquito bites),” he told the state health bureau Wednesday. Tangsel. (7/12).
In addition to continuing to promote the Jumantik program, the Tangsel Health Bureau has also reminded the community to be independent in protecting the environment and monitoring the source of the larvae.
“Don’t just rely on Jumantik cadres,” said Dr. Allin Hendalin Mahdaniar.
However, emphasized Dr. Allin, our schedule is ramping up. Because basically there should be that. Jumantik cadres also continue to carry out checks on residents’ homes. Now everything cannot depend on the cadres.
“Every family has to have a larva monitor, it has to license a family,” he said.
Meanwhile, the head of the disease control and eradication division at the Tangsel City Health Bureau, Dr. Adhy Purnawan added, the change from hot to rainy weather is often accompanied by the breeding of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito which causes DHF.
One of the preventative measures, Tulus said, is regulating the community’s Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS), which should reduce the spread of mosquitoes carrying the dengue virus.
“PHBS at home, all residents must become jumantik cadres in their homes to avoid dengue,” he concluded.
