Preventing Dengue Transmission, Pemecutan Kelod Village Performs Fogging

balitribune.co.id | Denpasar – To prevent the spread of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), Pemecutan Kelod Village carried out a Fogging Focus in Banjar Buagan Jalan Pulau Indah VI, Wednesday (12/1).

The head of Pemecutan Kelod Village, I Wayan Tantra, said that fogging was carried out in Banjar Buagan, Jalan Pulau Indah VI because there were residents living there who were infected with DB. To anticipate a more widespread transmission, his party requested assistance from the Denpasar City Health Office to carry out fogging.

According to him, the implementation of fogging cannot completely prevent dengue fever, but at least it can kill adult mosquitoes. To prevent transmission, his party has invited Jumantik in each banjar to come to residents’ homes for socialization and education in preventing dengue transmission by doing 3 M.

To maximize it, his party also expects public awareness to participate in protecting the environment in their respective homes. “Again, we remind you that eradicating dengue is not enough to send health workers and the public just by fogging. However, it must be followed up by maintaining a clean environment after fogging is carried out,” he said.
