Lumajang, Benua News.com- In order to prevent an outbreak of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), Babinsa Tunjung Koramil 0821/07 Randuagung, Serma Ahmad invited the public to always maintain cleanliness and environmental health.
“We always invite and urge the public to always maintain cleanliness and environmental health, as an effort to prevent dengue outbreaks, especially during the rainy season,” he said when together with village officials and health workers from the Puskesmas carried out the Eradication of Mosquito Nests (PSN) in Krajan Hamlet. Tunjung Village, Randuagung District, Lumajang Regency, East Java, Sunday (12/6/2022).
Ahmad also said that his involvement in these activities was a form of concern for the Indonesian National Army (TNI), as well as a form of implementing the unit’s duties in carrying out regional development.
“Participating actively in this activity is a form of TNI’s concern for public health, as well as a form of implementation of the task of coaching in the region,” he said.
Ahmad further explained that DHF is caused by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito which can carry the dengue virus which can cause dengue fever.
He hopes that the public will always be aware of the disease, especially during the rainy season by knowing how to spread it and the steps to prevent its spread.
“DHF generally develops during the rainy season, for that we need to know how to spread it and take steps to prevent it, one of which is by implementing 3M (Draining, Burying and Closing places that can hold water, ed),” he said. (Pendim0821).
