Prevent Respiratory Diseases and Covid-19 Deaths with Forsyth County Health Department’s Vaccine Campaign

Winston-Salem.- Respiratory diseases such as influenza and Covid-19 can become complicated and cause death, something that can be prevented with vaccines.

The Forsyth County Health Department continues its campaign to encourage children to receive Covid-19 vaccines.

Through social networks, the health agency indicated that the available vaccine is Pfizer, which is for children from 6 months to 11 years of age.

The other vaccines for children will be available until further notice, highlighted the Department of Health.

In addition to vaccines against Covid-19 for minors, it also reported that there are vaccines against influenza (flu) for all ages.

It is better prevent

The reminder of available vaccines seeks to prevent further deaths from respiratory diseases in North Carolina.

According to official data, as of December 23, 30 deaths from the flu have been recorded in the state, including 3 minors.

For this reason, health agencies invite the population not to let their guard down with updated vaccines among all family members.

To apply the vaccines, no type of identification is required, nor is insurance required.

Both vaccines are administered at the county Health Department clinic, located at 799 N. Highland Avenue, east of downtown Winston-Salem.

The opening hours to get vaccinated are from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with the exception of holidays, such as New Year’s.

No appointment is needed for the vaccine, so you can go directly to the offices. If you have any questions, you can call: 336-422-8873.
