Prevent Hacking, Microsoft Urges PC Users to Update Windows Immediately

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTATechnology Company Microsoft urges PC users to update immediately Windows operating system.

The announcement was made after the discovery of a security vulnerability in Windows operating system. This vulnerability can provide an opportunity for hackers to take control of PC computers.

This security breach is known as PrintNightmare and affects the Windows Print Spooler service. As happened at the end of May, researchers have given a warning via a tweet after finding a vulnerability in the Print Spooler.

The potential for this hacker attack probably started from many users accessing the printer device.

Microsoft says that this hacker action can explore and install the program on the PC. In addition, hackers can view and delete data or even create new user accounts with full user rights.

This potential hacker attack could inflict more serious damage on Windows operating system.

Citing the CNN page, Thursday (8/7/2021) Microsoft finally issued additional protection for Windows 7. The update was carried out for Windows Server 2016, Windows 10, version 1607 and Windows Server 2012.

“We recommend that you install this update right away,” exclaimed Microsoft.

As a result, a number of operating systems were affected by the action, including Windows 10 and Windows 7. Both operating systems had actually been discontinued by Microsoft last year and will not issue any more updates which are later transferred to Microsoft 11.

Microsoft also encourages users to immediately install updates in their operating systems. This is treated as a protective measure to avoid action hack by hackers.
