A 12-year Harvard study of nearly 48,000 men found those who ate this fatty fish more than three times a week were 40 percent less likely to develop prostate cancer.
Increasing vitamin D intake from these fish could reduce breast cancer risk by up to 50 percent, according to findings from the American Cancer Association. Mackerel nutrition may also improve survival rates among lung cancer patients and may protect against colorectal cancer.
