Presumed specs of Motorola budget phone with 5G appear online – Tablets and phones – News

The presumed specifications of a budget phone with 5G from Motorola have appeared online. Until now, phones with 5G have been mid-range or high-end phones. The device would run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon-soc from the 400 series.

Not a render, but a mock-up of Motorola Ibiza

The device has the code name Ibiza, reports Techniknews. The site gathered the information together with an author from XDA-Developers. The soc used is the Qualcomm 4350 on a sign code-named Holi. Further details about the soc, other than that the modem has 5G support, is unknown.

It has long been known that Qualcomm wants to release a 400 series soc with 5G support. So far socs from the 600, 700 and 800 series from the chip designer have 5G on board, but the cheaper 400 series socs do not yet.

The Motorola Ibiza has a screen with waterdrop notch, an LCD with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone has 4GB of RAM and a storage of 128GB. The phone also has a Samsung s5k3l6 sensor as its primary camera. That sensor has a maximum resolution of 48 megapixels. The front camera is 13MP.

It is still unknown when the Motorola Ibiza will be released and what it will cost. Given the specs, it is in the segment around 200 euros. The cheapest 5G phones are currently around 250 euros. Lenovo released one of the cheapest models with 5G last year with the Moto G 5G.
