The pressure against decrees 4640 and 4641 that propose the vaccine card and the PCR test rose this Friday when the request of six peasant organizations was joined by the civic of El Alto and the evangelical groups that rejected these norms and they threatened mobilizations.
“By decree 4640 and 4641 where we are requesting the modification, we are not asking for repeal so as not to have problems, we have sent the President (Luis Arce), Vice President (David Choquehuanca) and Minister of Health (Jeyson Auza), they must take into account (our request) to avoid later problems that may exist in our country, because this decree has not been agreed upon ”, declared the representative of the so-called Civic Committee for the City of El Alto, in a video broadcast on social networks.
It was not the only one, the National Christian Council of the Evangelical Churches of Bolivia, represented by the pastor, Luis Aruquipa determined not to abide by the decrees because in his vision it affects the freedom of people.
“The evangelical churches have determined not to abide by any law or decree that threatens to take away our freedom, because as of January 1, the entrance to public and private places is prohibited if the vaccination card is not carried, it is unheard of “, said the evangelical pastor.
The position of these two groups joins that of the six peasant organizations that are part of the unity pact, related to the Government, who requested the repeal of the two decrees and also the dismissal of Minister Jeyson Auza.
From 00:00 this Saturday the two decrees entered into force and public institutions have already sent communiqués informing the population that from Monday the vaccination card will be required to provide services.
The peasants declared themselves in a “state of emergency”, without setting deadlines, they said that the government must listen to this request if you don’t want the organizations that are related to you to start protesting in the streets.
The leader of the Civic Committee of El Alto said that they They vindicate the validity of the Sanitary Emergency Law (Law 1359) that in its articles 15 and 23 guarantees consent to be vaccinated.
“Immunization will be voluntary and prior informed consent will be applied. The Ministry of Health and Sports will adopt alternative measures for those people who decide not to be immunized, ”says article 15 of this law.
While Article 23 vindicates the use of traditional medicine as a measure to prevent and contain the pandemic when a health emergency is declared. On Thursday, the Executive declared a health emergency in the country after the disproportionate increase in Covid-19 cases.
