Stephy Mavididi, before joining Ligue 1, had two big European clubs. Trained at Arsenal where he did not have the chance to play a first team meeting, he recounts his departure for Juventus in L’Écho de la Mosson:
“After my loan to Charlton, I needed to meet with Arsenal managers to find out about my situation and what they thought to do with me. They explained to me that they liked me, that I was a good element but that they were looking for 2 or 3 world-class players for my position, that it might be difficult for me to evolve in the first team and that they were open to a departure if there was an offer for both parties. It was Juventus. I will never forget my experience there. Everything is put in place to the smallest detail. After training, you go to eat at the restaurant, they ask you what you want to eat, if you have 2 sessions during the day, you have the possibility of sleeping on the spot… Everything is just perfect. It’s a great experience. ”
