1. Collision with oncoming traffic – B486 Langen district

A noticeable flu under the influence of alcohol in connection with mobile phone use resulted in a 54-year-old Opel driver from Langen leaving his lane early Friday evening at 6.30pm and driving into oncoming traffic. Here he collided with a 63-year-old Mercedes driver arriving from Frankfurt. Both parties involved lucked into bad luck and were unharmed. The damage is estimated at 5,000 euros.

1st supermarket robbery – Schöneck/Kilianstädten

Two previously unknown perpetrators remained in a supermarket on Uferstrasse until closing time (10 p.m.) on Friday evening and then threatened the two remaining employees (aged 43 and 59 respectively) with a pistol and a knife. After handing over the required cash from the till, employees had to open the safe and place its contents in a bag. The amount of the loot is not yet quantifiable. The perpetrators then fled the shop in an unknown direction. The police manhunt, in which the police helicopter was also used, is ongoing. Both male perpetrators are described as follows: 20-25 years old, about 170cm tall, wore medical masks during the crime. One was of a slightly darker complexion, wearing a black hooded jacket, red corduroy trousers, and black shoes. The other attacker had a thin beard, wore a dark hoodless jacket, dark jeans, gray-white shoes, and a gray hat. Witnesses who can provide relevant information are advised to contact the Criminal Police at 06181-100-123.
