This is not the plague in the Middle Ages, an untreatable, in any case fatal disease. It would therefore be completely wrong to panic and overestimate the invisible threat that has so far been rather abstract for Germany. Health systems around the world are preparing for the virus. The affected Chinese province is put under a huge quarantine. Airports, hospitals and general practitioners are vigilant in Germany. And just for comparison: So far, the number of people who died of the virus in China has been in double digits. More than 25,000 people died in Germany in the 2017/2018 flu wave./yyzz/DP/zb
