Presidential Runoff Debate Between Sergio Massa and Javier Milei – November 12, 2021

One week before the presidential runoff on Sunday, November 19, on the 12th from 9 p.m. at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires located in the Recoleta neighborhood (Comuna 2), the debate will be held between the candidates Sergio Massa (Unión for the Homeland) and Javier Milei (La Libertad Avanza), organized by the National Electoral Chamber. The dynamics of the meeting have already been defined.

It was established that Milei will be in location A and Massa, in location B. Meanwhile, the UP leader will occupy role A and the libertarian, role B.

Candidates will not be allowed to have papers or graphs to display. It was also agreed that they will be able to move around the stage.

At the beginning, both will have one minute to introduce themselves. Then, there will be a 12-minute segment in which six thematic axes will be addressed in two blocks of three each: Economy; Argentina’s relations with the world; Education and Health (Block 1); Production and Work; Security; Human Rights and Democratic Coexistence (Block 2).

The third block will be the closing block, each candidate will have two minutes. Massa will present first and then Milei.

“We are very satisfied with the result of the previous debates, which had a high rating. It was an opportunity for citizens to inform themselves,” highlighted the president of the National Electoral Chamber, Alberto Dalla Vía, and added: “We hope to have a good debate on November 12.”

The moderators will be the journalists Luciana Geuna (Canal 13), Pablo Vigna (TV Pública), Érica Fontana (Telefe) and Antonio Laje (América).
