If a second round concerning only the French in the New York constituency – also encompassing New Jersey, Connecticut and Bermuda – were to take place, it would oppose Emmanuel Macron to Jean-Luc Mélenchon. The French in the United States voted this Saturday, April 9, 2022 for the first round of the presidential election. As in 2017, they overwhelmingly voted for Emmanuel Macron, renewing their confidence in him, placing far behind candidate Mélenchon, followed by Yannick Jadot. We could have announced these results last night but out of journalistic ethics, we are disclosing them at a time when France is publishing the first estimates. Pledge of our seriousness.
