Presidential elections in the USA

The important topic of next week, and probably some time after, is the results of the presidential vote in the United States. Some world results. With a very strong economic impact for the entire world. Since then, the growth of the European Union and the Pacific Rim has been consolidated, although it does not have such detail or development as that of the European Union. For our country, however, it is an impact that continues to be very strong. It is our largest business partner. We share 3,000 kilometers of border. And where also, well yes, we have a threat of an economic embargo that could be strong. These are important results for the entire world. And at this moment… According to the different forecasts, the coin of this election is still up in the air. There is often no way to know what the outcome will be. And basically the analyzes are done mainly depending on who the analyzer’s favorite is. In this article we are going to do… …a comparative analysis of the electoral platforms of the two competitors. We could try to summarize all the possible results in a few words. Mr. Donald Trump is calling for a major reduction in the role of strong government… …particularly the federal government… …while Mrs. Kamala Harris seeks to increase the role of government. Small government versus big government. Donald Trump talks about reducing taxes… …also reducing public spending… for example health spending, where he intends to bury what the United States called Obamacare. The idea is to cut costs, but at the same time improve the quality of health, which is not entirely clear. On the other hand, Mrs. Harris proposes expanding health spending, but simultaneously reducing costs. In other words, increase the aspects that cover this health expenditure, but at the same time reduce costs, making them more efficient. If we look at other aspects of the economy, we would find that in the case of Donald Trump he was mocking. The idea is that a deregulation of the laws and regulations that affect companies is sought, to promote national manufacturing and correspondingly reduce purchases abroad, for which perhaps the most central idea is to review the famous Brexit procedure. On the other hand, Mrs. Harris proposes increases in the minimum wage and support for small businesses in order to more strongly develop the national economy. It is also not very clear what the result of these measures would be. the concept. In terms of rights, Mrs. Harris focuses above all on reproductive rights, another way of saying the right to abortion with full freedoms. Mr. Trump is not entirely opposed to this, but it is not one of his points that he considers attacking on the right or the left. It places a strong role on the states. On the other hand, it talks about the right to own weapons, religious rights and also a strong push for individual rights.

Regarding international relations, Mr. Trump’s platform with the concept of America First, that is, centralized in the United States societies, the proposal is to reduce alliances, increase military spending, but simultaneously reduce participation and the monetary contribution to alliances such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO, or the United Nations. Meanwhile, Mrs. Harris has a multilateral approach, where alliances are not with a single country or groups of countries, but with all countries through international mechanisms, such as the United Nations. And, above all, a strong push for global collaboration to protect ecology. In the case of Trump, one of his loudest points, the ones that have been heard the most, is his focus on reducing immigration. Only illegal immigration, but above all any immigration. A bit with the idea that… The more immigrants there are, the less money there will be for Americans. And to do this, he proposes his ideas that have already been put into practice and that were not very realistic, such as creating a wall between the United States and Mexico and a massive deportation of illegals. Even talking about deportation in some media. President Trump has said that 30 million people living in the United States cannot be deported. Nowhere does Mr. Trump say how 30 million consumers can be deported without damaging the economy. Because clearly if that development, that deportation, is achieved, the economy of the United States would suffer greatly. An issue in which Mrs. Harris only says that immigration must be regularized and a legal path found so that these people can really be legally in the United States. One aspect that is only mentioned by Mrs. Harris is supporting higher education. Not like in other countries through scholarships, but through supporting higher education by forgiving student debt. It is something strong in the United States. They both offer prosperity, but they offer it in different ways. While one focuses above all on the government costing less and that money being better used by companies to prosper, the other sees the increase of the economy in mechanisms such as increasing the minimum wage, reducing debts and in short, increasing the role of the government in the economy. Something that in some way is to be expected because both have different ideological concepts. One, a socialist concept, the other a concept of capitalism and some could say savage capitalism. It is too early to say the consequences and this will depend above all on the results of the vote. If there is a complete, very absolute victory for either of the two, the conditions are of some kind and it would have to be assumed that it is about fulfilling these electoral promises. If the vote is divided and if we find, for example, that any of the party presidents obtains the presidency, but the congress remains in the hands of their opponents, the consequences would be different. And this is an analysis that will have to be done once we really know the results of this election. In any case, they are important consequences and for Mexico it is not something trivial. We cannot have a somewhat cynical view that… …that candidates say that they are merely electoral offers, but in reality it is not truly about fulfilling them, but only about winning votes. What are many people really saying? This should be very careful because it may actually happen that they do try to fully comply with their offers. So it is important for us… …to analyze the consequences for Mexico. And this is a task of both the presidency and our Congress. But it is also something important for the citizen, for society, for the citizen. You have to keep in mind what kind of situation we are going to find ourselves in. …will greatly influence how the current Mexican regime will act.
