This Monday, August 7, 2023, the candidates selected for the presidential election of August 26, 2023, are verifying and validating the ballot papers “ready to draw”.

On August 26, people will go to the polls to elect the next president of the republic. 846,822 are expected to vote. The Gabonese Election Center (CGE) announced on July 24 that it had validated 19 candidate files, including that of current President Ali Bongo, candidate for his succession.

The first steps taken, another stage began on August 7, that of the verification of the “ready to print” of the various ballot papers.

The candidates responded to the call issued by the President of the Gabonese Election Center (CGE), Michel Stephane Bonda. Inviting: “all candidates for the presidential election of August 26, 2023, or their representatives to present themselves at their headquarters in the city of democracy within 48 hours, starting this Monday, August 7, 2023, in order to proceed to the validation of their “goods to print.”

This day, on its digital platforms, the center assures the candidates have answered the call. The operation is scheduled for 48 hours.
