The BRAVO-CRP alert level will be introduced nationwide from Friday across the country. As ordered by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, it will be binding until Monday. The purpose of the decision is to counteract threats in cyberspace related to the second round of presidential elections – the Ministry of the Interior and Administration said on Thursday.

The head of government introduced the second CRP alert level on a four-point scale on the basis of the provisions of the Act on anti-terrorist activities. He made such a decision two weeks ago, in connection with the first round of elections. CRP degrees relate to threats in cyberspace.

The BRAVO-CRP degree will be valid nationwide from Friday, July 10, from 00.01, until Monday, July 13, until 23.59. Voting in the second round will take place on Sunday, July 12.

BRAVO-CPR degree introduced throughout the country
The Ministry of Interior and Administration clarifies that the tasks of state authorities in the event of the introduction of the CRP alert level are set out in the relevant ordinance of the Prime Minister of July 25, 2016. According to its provisions, during the BRAVO-CRP degree, monitoring of the security status of IT systems of public administration bodies or those forming part of critical infrastructure is intensified.

Individual authorities also monitor and verify whether there has been a breach of security of electronic communications, and also check the availability of such services.

The projects envisaged by the regulations also include ensuring the availability of personnel responsible for the security of systems in the emergency mode, as well as the introduction of round-the-clock roster of administrators of key systems and personnel authorized to make decisions in matters of system security.

“Security during the duration of the degree depends not only on the operation of the competent services, but also on the vigilance of citizens. If you notice something worrying you should inform the Police or the Internal Security Agency” – emphasizes the Ministry of Interior and Administration.
