Presidential Candidates Invited to Compete on Eradicating Corruption: Anies Baswedan Ready to Attend

Jakarta

The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) invited three presidential candidates (candidates) to compete on ideas for eradicating corruption. Presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan admitted that he was ready to come and fulfill the invitation.

“Yes, come,” said Anies Baswedan at the Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta, Thursday (11/1/2024) evening.

As is known, the event will be held on January 17 2024. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to hold a forum for three presidential candidates to compete for ideas on eradicating corruption.

“Yes, that’s right, invited to the Anti-Corruption Strengthening program for Organizers with Integrity (Paku Integrity). So far, the information we have obtained is scheduled for January 17 2024 at the KPK’s Red and White building,” said Head of KPK News Division Ali Fikri to journalists, Tuesday ( 9/1).

Ali said that the Nail Integrity program has been implemented by the Deputy for Education and Community Participation at the KPK since 2021. This is to strengthen the commitment of officials not to be corrupt.

“Paku Integritas has been a KPK program since 2021 through the Deputy for Education and Community Participation to strengthen the anti-corruption commitment of state administrators,” he said.

The KPK said the three candidate pairs would attend. Ali said this event was a form of preventing corruption.

“The information we have obtained, what we have invited, is that the pair of candidates for President and Vice President have confirmed that they will attend,” said Ali.

“This is part of preventing corruption,” he added.
