Presidential 2022: who sponsored who in Seine-Saint-Denis

Only six mayors, out of the 40 in Seine-Saint-Denis, have not sponsored a candidate: those of Bobigny (PCF), Gournay-sur-Marne (DVD), Le Raincy (SE), Livry -Gargan (DVD), Montfermeil (DVD), Neuilly-sur-Marne (SE) and Sevran (DVG).

Valérie Pécresse in the lead

It is the candidate of the Les Républicains party, Valérie Pécresse, who largely comes out on top with the city councilors with 15 sponsorships, but also with all the elected officials of the department (regional and departmental councillors, deputies and senators included) with 30 supporters, ahead of Jean-Luc-Mélenchon from La France Insoumise (15), Anne Hidalgo from the Socialist Party (13), Fabien Roussel from the Communist Party (11), Emmanuel Macron from En Marche (6) and Yannick Jadot from Europe Ecologie-Les Verts (7). Philippe Poutou (New Anti-Capitalist Party) who managed to qualify in extremis, received sponsorship from the departmental councilor Oriane Filhol. At the other end of the political spectrum, Marine Le Pen (National Rally) received none, unlike Eric Zemmour supported by two departmental advisers, Marie-Banche Piétri (DVD) and Vijay Monany (DVD).

Also note the five sponsorships received in vain by Christine Taubira who gave up the towel a few days before closing, desperate to reach 500 signatures.

No sponsorships for local candidates

The Bourget railway worker, Anasse Kazib, a former NPA activist, also had to throw in the towel, having only managed to gather 130 sponsorships, none of which were in the department. Nathalie Artaud who lives in Pantin, did not get any either, but qualified.

As a reminder, the 12 candidates, who obtained the necessary 500 signatures in at least thirty different departments are, in the “official order” established by lot: Nathalie Arthaud (LO), Fabien Roussel (PCF), Emmanuel Macron ( LREM), Jean Lassalle (Resist!), Marine Le Pen (RN), Eric Zemmour (Reconquest!), Jean-Luc Mélenchon (LFI), Anne Hidalgo (PS), Yannick Jadot (ecologist), Valérie Pécresse (LR), Philippe Poutou (NPA) and Nicolas Dupont-Aignan (DLF).

The UDIs have all sponsored Jean-Luc Mélenchon

If the elected representatives supported in their majority the candidate corresponding to their political affiliation, the 4 UDI (the deputy Jean-Christophe Lagarde, the mayor of Drancy Aude Lagarde, the departmental councilor Hamid Chabani and the senator Vincent Capo-Canellas) have, at like the LR mayor of Cannes David Lisnard, granted their sponsorship to Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
