A cacophony that calls out to many activists, sure that for lack of rallying, the left will end up in the ditch in the first round next year. In an attempt to avoid this new departure from the road, several party officials met on Sunday afternoon, remotely, at the initiative of the former journalist Laurent Joffrin. Goal ? Try to lay the foundations for common ideas.
A “first bud”
Of fear “To have to watch the Macron-Le Pen second round from the sidelines”, the socialist Jean-Christophe Cambadélis wants the creation of a federation of the left “Realistic transformation” . A union also supported by the unregistered member Paula Forteza, calling to cease “The logics of camp against camp”. Corinne Narassiguin (PS) pleads for the writing of a project “Before choosing a candidate”.
Delighted with this meeting – paved with good intentions -, Jean-Christophe Cambadélis speaks “First bud in the winter of the left”. It now remains to expand the audience, including the Greens. This is also a strong demand from participants. The Communist Party has already said niet, qualifying Laurent Joffrin’s initiative as “Left caviar, aiming to silence the revolutionary current” . A first bud may have emerged, but beware of the return of the frost!
