Details: Martial law and mobilization have been extended for 90 days, that is, until November 15, 2023.
This is the eighth continuation since the start of a full-scale invasion.
Reference: The next parliamentary elections would be held in October. However, according to the law, martial law makes it impossible to hold elections.
What came before:
On July 26, President Volodymyr Zelensky submitted a proposal to the Verkhovna Rada to approve his decrees on extending martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine for another 90 days. On July 27, the Verkhovna Rada approved the bills.
