“President Zelensky Says Ukraine Needs More Time to Receive Western Weapons”

President Vladimir Zelensky said that Ukraine needed more time to advance in order to get more weapons from the allies. About this he informed in an interview with the BBC.

According to him, Ukraine should receive more Western weapons in order to launch the expected offensive.

“With what we have, we can go ahead and succeed. But we would lose a lot of people. I think this is unacceptable. So we need to wait. We still need a little more time,” Zelensky said.

He noted that he was confident in the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack, and warned of the risks of freezing the war, which Russia is counting on.

The head of state stressed that no one can force Ukraine to give up its territories.

“Why should any country in the world give Putin territory?” he said.
