Zelensky approved Supreme Commander-in-Chief Anatoly Bargilevich, Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a member of the Headquarters.
At the same time, by decree the head of state removed from the Headquarters:
Tantsur Igor – commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Krug – ex-head of the State Emergency Service (SSES).
This decree comes into force on the day of publication (October 19).
Note that Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief is a body of senior military leadership that exercises strategic control of military formations during a war.
Let us recall that on October 17, Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters, at which the situation at the front and support for Ukrainian partners was discussed.
