Zelensky’s direct speech: “Today I am introducing a key bill to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine that will allow the adoption of comprehensive changes to legislation and the introduction of the institution of multiple citizenship.

And it will allow all ethnic Ukrainians and their descendants from different countries of the world to have our citizenship. Of course, except for the citizens of the aggressor country.”

Details: The President explained that Ukrainians in spirit and origin must become Ukrainians by law.

This applies to Ukrainians in all corners of the world, as well as foreign volunteers who came to the defense of Ukraine and are fighting “for the freedom of Ukraine, as for their homeland.” According to Zelensky, Ukraine will become like that for them.

“Everyone who has not forgotten their own roots and does not let the world forget about Ukraine. Everyone in whose veins Ukrainian blood flows and in whose chest a free heart beats. Ukrainians by origin, who have long proven that they are Ukrainians in spirit. And after many years expectations, they should finally become Ukrainians with a passport. At the legislative level,” the president concluded.
