President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny made statements on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of the DAP.
Today, January 20, Ukraine honors the memory of the cyborg warriors who defended Donetsk Airport (DAP). President Vladimir Zelensky, as well as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, addressed the people on this occasion.
On Zelensky’s official channel Telegram In the morning, a video appeared with footage of battles for the DAP. The President recalled that the defense of the airport lasted 242 days. The defenders held it until the last, and left only when the DAP was turned into a pile of concrete rubble.
“This was one of the most difficult and fundamental battles for Ukraine. It was a battle in which modern Ukrainians found our primordial power… They withstood where concrete could not“- Zelensky noted.
He added that it was in the battles for the DAP that the world saw what courage and strength the people of Ukraine are capable of.
Video of DAP defense also published Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny.
“This feat of Ukrainian soldiers showed the whole world the courage, courage and inflexibility of Ukrainians. The words are forever imprinted in our memory: “The cyborgs survived, the concrete did not”“, wrote Zaluzhny.
He thanked the DAP defenders for their feat.
Earlier, Dialog.UA reported that Zelensky publicly addressed Trump: “If you can stop the war in 24 hours…”.
We also wrote that Zaluzhny and Shaptala went to the 3 “hottest” sectors of the front.
