President Yoon plans to review the current status of cooperation and exchange views on future cooperation plans at this meeting, attended by members of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF).
Regional situations, international cooperation plans, and mutual interests and cooperation measures in relation to the promotion of the 2030 Busan International Expo are also considered as major agenda items.
The Presidential Office explained that this summit is meaningful in earnest implementing the vision of the ‘Indo-Pacific Strategy of Freedom, Peace and Prosperity’ announced by the Korean government last year.
Separately, President Yoon will also hold bilateral talks with the leaders of the five countries that visited Korea this morning: the Cook Islands, the Marshall Islands, the Solomon Islands, Niue, and Palau.
