President Yoon will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) held in San Francisco, USA for 4 days and 3 nights starting on the 15th, and a lecture at Stanford University is expected to be one of the latter part of the event.

According to reports, the two leaders are expected to explain Korea-Japan, Korea-U.S.-Japan cooperation in the economic and security fields, and also mention improvement in bilateral relations.
The news agency also reported that President Yoon is expected to mention strengthening cyber measures between Korea, the United States and Japan, noting that North Korea is obtaining funds for nuclear and missile development through illegal cyber activities.
Prime Minister Kishida is expected to emphasize the establishment of a supply chain for important minerals, including semiconductors, and cooperation between Korea, the United States and Japan surrounding artificial intelligence (AI).
The lecture will be held in a discussion format, and a Q&A with participants is also scheduled.
This is President Yoon’s first time attending APEC since taking office. He will arrive in San Francisco on the 15th and attend the APEC CEO investment declaration ceremony and welcome reception, and then attend the summit session on the 16th and 17th.
President Yoon is scheduled to return home on the 18th after completing the APEC schedule and then make a state visit to the UK from the 20th to the 23rd. He will deliver a speech to parliament in London on the 21st and have a summit with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on the 22nd. She is the first state guest that President Yoon has invited since King Charles III’s coronation last May.
