President Tiani meets members of the National Association of Parents and Students

Niamey, Oct 26 (ANP) – The President of the National Council for the Protection of the Homeland, Brigadier General Abdourahamane Tiani met, this Saturday, October 26, 2024 at his office, members of the National Association of Parents of Students and students led by the Minister of National Education and representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education.

It was in the presence of members of the National Council for the Protection of the Fatherland (CNSP).

The objective of this meeting is twofold, to discuss the field of education since the advent of the CNSP and to take stock of the preparations for the 2024-2025 school year in order to see how to make the year a success.

At the end of the meeting, the President of the said Association, Mr. Wissilimane Ransarantane, on behalf of all the members, thanked the Head of State for having met them.

“As for the past, we are delighted as a structure of parents of students, of the perfect collaboration with the ministries in charge of education and teaching”, he declared adding to be delighted “with the efforts made by the CNSP to keep the academic rhythm at the top until the organization of the exams.

“We did not suffer from any shortcomings despite what was planned for Niger, the CNSP emerged from it, and it was the honor of the homeland, the honor of the country,” said the President of ANPE/E.

He subsequently highlighted the integration of parents in making decisions aimed at improving the quality of education before saluting the perfect collaboration of the ministries in charge of Education as well as the harmony in everything that concerns the specifications assigned to them.

“We are committed to the CNSP as parents to do our best to ensure that the year is better than the one we experienced and that all concerns are not likely to be abandoned for the benefit of saboteurs,” announced Mr. Wissilimane

Also, he said “when we listened to the general, we understood that each Nigerien is called to do more than even the general”.

Regarding preparations for the start of the school year, he emphasized the desire to prepare for a successful school year, with the commitment of parents to actively contribute to this success.

“We appeal to teachers, so that they understand that the teacher is the model, the teacher is the one who makes the nation proud and not the one who must push back,” he said. -he emphasized.

He also recalled that the CNSP respected its commitments (paying teachers on time and respecting parents’ rights), before encouraging the mobilization of all stakeholders for the future.

He finally pleaded for a desire for unity and collective commitment to guarantee the success of the coming school year, emphasizing the importance of everyone’s responsibility for the good of the country.

“Together, as the Minister of National Education is wont to say, ‘We can and we will get there'”, concluded the President of the Executive Office of the National Association of Parents and Students.
