President Seok-Yeol Yoon and President Andrzej Duda Sign MoUs for Ukraine Reconstruction Project at Korea-Poland Business Forum

▲President Seok-Yeol Yoon, meeting with Ukrainian reconstruction partners: Yonhap News While the Korean government is promoting a 66 trillion won project to rebuild Ukraine, President Seok-Yeol Yun expressed his willingness to cooperate with the reconstruction during his visit to Poland.

President Yoon, who is on an official visit to Poland, held a Korea-Poland Business Forum with President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw, Poland on the 14th (local time), and signed 33 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between companies and related organizations in both countries.

At the forum, President Yoon emphasized, “The economic cooperation between the two countries has reached a new turning point with this high-tech industry, defense industry export, and nuclear power plant cooperation agreement.”

In particular, he said, “Poland, as a neighboring country of Ukraine, will play an important role in the post-war recovery project. Korea has experience in national reconstruction after the Korean War, and both countries should participate as partners in the reconstruction of Ukraine.” paraphrased.

President Duda responded by saying, “Poland very welcomes Korea’s participation in reconstruction projects in Ukraine, especially projects related to transportation infrastructure.”

Previously, Ukraine requested a reconstruction project worth 20 billion dollars, including the restoration of emergency facilities, from Korea, and the Korean government is promoting a reconstruction project worth 66 trillion won.
