“President Santokhi meets with activist teachers to discuss education in Suriname”

President Chandrikapersad Santokhi today had a meeting with the activist group Wi Sa Strey, consisting of activist teachers in Suriname, before the office of the president.

The parties have discussed various issues that affect education. The head of state says that a follow-up meeting will be held with a team of ministers.

“As president, I am fully aware that many citizens are struggling in this time of price increases and other challenges. We remain committed to a better future for all of us. Together we can tackle all challenges,” said the head of state.
